Software Project Manager

Summary:
Successful candidate will exhibit an ability and desire to manage a highly talented team to successful completion of multiple technically challenging software development projects in a globally distributed team environment.

Local to the Dallas area only

Responsibilities:
- Work with the technical leaders to properly scope development projects and provide useful estimates. This includes defining product release schedules, milestones and detailed iteration plans
- Manage the daily activities of the software development process against the defined schedule, cost and quality objectives
- Help team members address and overcome challenges that affect product delivery, including technical and prioritization concerns
- Work with QA to continuously improve a quality process for software development and product development

Qualifications:
- BS Degree in computer science, management or related technical field
- Minimum of five years experience in software project management
- Demonstrated ability managing a team on CAD-based software project
- Demonstrated ability using Agile development methodologies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to understand and scope technical requirements
- Ability to motivate a team of highly technical members
- Ability to manage multi-cultural/off-shore projects in coordination with local team

Highly Desirable but Not Required:
- Technical degree or experience in Mechanical Engineering or similar domain
- Experience using project management tools such as AtTask
- Experience using defect tracking tools such as Fogbugz

Compensation includes salary, a competitive benefits package, and bonus potential. Base salary range is $80 - 100K depending on experience and qualifications.
