MCKINNEY, Texas – June 12, 2013 – Sigmetrix, a PTC® PartnerAdvantage™ Gold Partner and a recognized leader in GD&T and tolerance analysis software, today announced the latest release of its GD&T Advisor software for PTC Creo® design software. Developed in partnership with Alex Krulikowski at Effective Training, Inc. (ETI), GD&T Advisor v2.0 represents the second major launch of this interactive tool that expertly guides designers through a standards-based application of GD&T from within the CAD environment.
GD&T Advisor v2.0 expands the applicability of GD&T Advisor to a broader range of conditions. The filtering and advice can now be based on either the ASME Y14.5M-1994 or the ISO GPS standard increasing the international reach of the software. GD&T Advisor has been enhanced to allow the inclusion of datum targets in the dimension scheme. In addition, GD&T Advisor can now be used directly on sheet metal parts. The management of notes has also been greatly improved with the inclusion of a new Notes Manager allowing the user to control the visibility of both general and design-specific notes on the CAD model.
