GD&T Fundamentals - 16 Hours (300-00-022-16 hour)

Build a confident, working understanding of GD&T fundamentals in this 16-hour, instructor-led course from Sigmetrix. You’ll start by grounding GD&T in the real problems it solves, especially the shortcomings of plus/minus dimensioning and tolerancing. Then, you’ll progress through the rules, tools, and techniques that make GD&T a consistent language across design, manufacturing, quality, inspection, and assembly.

This course is a thorough, structured introduction that helps you progress from individual symbol recognition to system-level application. You’ll learn functional dimensioning and tolerancing principles, then dig into datums and the datum reference frame so you can define requirements that are both clear and verifiable. From there, you’ll build on GD&T rules and core concepts to understand features and features of size, geometric tolerances, and the tolerance zones they create.
